Internship Details:
Our internships are designed as opportunities for senior year college students or recent post graduates to gain valuable experience and training that will position them for future.
This is a paid internship. This role will not be benefits-eligible during the duration of the internship.
We are highly selective on who joins our internship program as we aim to fully integrate them into our organization and look to them as the future leaders.
Duration:
3 or 6 months at 20 hours/week. May adjust timeline and hours based on the intern’s availability and organisation needs (Exemplar 3 or 5 working days per week).
Your Role
The Strategic Planning Intern is responsible for supporting the strategic planning team in all aspects of its work, with a focus on research. This includes conducting and synthesizing research, preparing briefings and reports, and supporting the completion of strategic plans.
The intern is also responsible for assisting with various administrative tasks, including managing the team’s calendar and travel arrangements.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research related to the company’s business strategy, competitors, and markets
- Track and summarize secondary research (competitive, category and cultural trends) and share learnings and perspectives
- Prepare written reports and presentations on findings to support development of the company’s strategic plan. Support preparation of presentations to senior management on progress against plan.
- Perform SWOT & GAP Analysis assessments (including gather client & competitors background &information) through Diagnostics Tools usage
- Gather data on company performance metrics, identify trends, and provide recommendations on future strategic planning initiatives
- Assist with administrative tasks related to strategic planning initiatives and meetings
- Assist with event planning related work
- Perform Survey Assessments including Consolidation on Strategy Diagnostics.
- Inform the creation of profiles of the habits, priorities, attitudes and tendencies of target consumers
- Attend Project and Team Meetings, including performing other projects and tasks as assigned.
- Create detailed competitive analysis comparisons from multiple sources
- Build in depth customer journeys and audiences’ segmentation for clients
- Provide support and guidance to the strategy team to maximize research capabilities
Essential Qualifications
- Active pursuit of Information Technology, Computer Science or related MBA degree with at least one year completed
- Minimum 7 GPA
- Mandatory computer skills: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint & Excel
- Strong listening and communication skills, both orally and written, with the ability to express ideas clearly and concisely
- Passionate about learning new technologies and applying them in your daily job
- Ability to connect technology with measurable business value
- Resourceful, entrepreneurial, and comfortable dealing with ambiguity
